Dan Pondella, CPCU, CLU

Dan started Pondella Insurance Brokers in 1969 after working for Sentry Insurance Company. It was in these formative years that Dan decided that his passion was being an exclusive insurance broker in the business insurance market. He earned his Charter Property and Casualty Underwriter designation (CPCU) in 1977 and the Chartered Life Underwriter designation (CLU) in 1978. He attended Woodbury University majoring in finance. Dan served as Chairman of the Board for Notre Dame High School. He was friends with several of the owners of Arroyo Insurance Services(, Inc.,) and in 1997, became an owner and he heads up the marketing and sales operations.

Matthew Pondella
Principal

Matthew Pondella has been an independent Insurance Agent for Arroyo Insurance Services since 1998. He specializes in business insurance for clients that have operations worldwide. Matthew completed his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado. Matthew enjoys giving back to the community by serving on many Boards including, Valley Village, Kiwanis and Health Underwriters. He was raised in Sherman Oaks, and is married with two children.
